What does it take to Tango? Contest Winner Announced


DALLAS, TX - June 20, 2011 - Mango, head of lettuce, charm, good feet, some tears and even Jesus...  These were some of the creative responses to  the creative responses to TangoTab's "It Takes BLANK to Tango" video contest, which, which requested that their consumers identify what they thought it took to Tango.

 

"The video entries were funny and creative, making the winner selection process very difficult" says Christina Hanger, TangoTab COO. TangoTab, the creator of a next generation restaurant marketing platform, gives restaurant the ability to present limited time offers when it makes sense for them, so they can fill their empty seats when they need it most.  "We were looking for our contest participants to be engaging and out of the box when they made their submissions," says Hanger.

 

Ultimately, it took Mango to Tango! Congratulations go to Kayla Nguyen and first runner up Tanner Gibson. The winners were chosen based on a combination TangoTab fan and staff votes.  Video submissions are available on The TangoTab channel on YouTube and the Facebook Fan page.

 

Nguyen's entertaining and quirky video, created in collaboration with her mother taking a bite out of a mango and dancing around the kitchen, generated contagious attention.  Coincidentally, she was notified of her $1,000 first prize award on her birthday! Nguyen is a Film major at Temple University in New Jersey and is going to use the winnings to invest in her own film company.

 

Southern Wesleyan Communications student Tanner Gibson was the runner up. "I had a fun experience and liked that it was specific to restaurants" says Gibson.  He plans to give some of his $500 winnings to his mother who recently lost her job and use a bit of it for his upcoming trip to Comic Con in San Diego.
